GLOBE TYE BALANCED DOUBLE DISK FLOATING VALVES

Introduction

The Di Nicola balanced double disk floating valve is the premier engineering solution for precise water level control in basins, tanks, and reservoirs under high operating pressures or severe flow turbulence. Its specialized double disk configuration perfectly balances the hydraulic pressure thrust on both discs, drastically reducing operating stresses and maximizing the response sensitivity of the mechanism. This advanced design eliminates the common failures found in standard single-disk mechanical valves, which require oversized floats, suffer from severe mechanical friction, and cause cyclic opening or closing that creates dangerous pressure oscillations capable of bursting upstream pipelines.

Key Features

The high-reliability Di Nicola lever system guarantees a smooth, fluid, and continuous disc movement up to the predefined maximum water level, fully protecting pipelines from structural stress and pressure fluctuations. Watertight sealing performance is achieved via dual Neoprene or NBR O-rings closing against interchangeable bronze or stainless steel seats forced directly onto the body, allowing easy replacement from above by simply extracting the stem assembly without removing the valve body from the line. To prevent binding and wear, the high-grade stainless steel stem slides smoothly inside robust bronze or brass bushings. Standard units close when the water level reaches the pipe axis, allowing adjustable float regulation of plus or minus ten centimeters, and they are fully qualified to operate completely submerged.

Applications and Benefits

  • Acqueducts:Liquid level retention and steady regulation inside municipal waterworks reservoirs, industrial storage basins, and water towers handling heavy pressure differentials.
  • Water purification, water treatment and irrigation plants: Optimized site adaptability with options for a custom calm basin to isolate the float from flow turbulence, ninety-degree connection orientations, or integrated extension shafts for deep submerged settings.

Why Choose Our Products

Nicola builds float valves double room balanced with ductile iron EN GJS 400 to EN GJS 500 for diameters from 100 mm to 600 mm and in steel construction EN S275J0 and stainless steel with high nickel content for diameters from DN 700 allDN 2000 mm and nominal pressures from 2.5 bar to 16 bar and ANSI Class 125 to Class 150. Float valves Di Nicola have shutters driven by double-plate system with neutral behavior towards the upstream pressure without interfering with the axial movement. The seals are guaranteed by or ring repositionable and 304 stainless material. Float valves Di Nicola respond to major international standards such as EN 593, EN ISO 1074-1, EN ISO 1074-2, DIN 3202, EN 558-series 20, and AWWA C-504. With marked according to EN ISO 19 and flanges according to EN 1092-2, ISO 2531, BS4504, ANSI B16.10, test according to EN 12266-1.
